This week I decided to work on some swap blocks. The first one up was a neutral block with a small amount of color.
The next one was anything in blue.
Here’s the whole group together.
I’ve worked on my machine quilting like I promised. I’m using Left Turn Right Turn from the Free Motion Quilting Project. I’ve gotten lost a few times (even though it is totally simple) so not all of my blocks line up but I don’t think anyone will notice that. The tension is right and the thread isn’t breaking so I’m counting that as a win.
I’ve been adding sashing to the Quilts of Valor Anniversary Blocks.
I finished up another hexagon after discussing the hexagon quilt that we didn’t see at the museum with my husband.
I got a quilt back from the quilter. I just have to add the binding and then this will be donated through Quilts of Valor.
And then there is this….
Huge Doctor Who fan. Love David Tennant. I haven’t done any embroidery since I was a kid but I guess I’m going to have to remember because these are hand embroidered quilt blocks!
Wow! You’ve been busy. Nice hexie flower.
What great blocks and a beautiful quilt! Thanks for sharing.

Love that blue sampler! Very pretty! My brother’s gf commissioned me to make her a TARDIS quilt, and was okay with the front being from cheater fabric from Spoonflower. The back is based on Stary Night, with a mini TARDIS flying through. So…needless to say I’m excited about the Dr-Who-along!
I’ve looked at a lot of the Doctor Who fabric on Spoonflower. I want it all but it is so expensive!
Oh so busy and all so wonderful! Love the mix of blue fabric, so fresh.
Wow…….I love all your work today……..the beige block with the single red flower really makes a statement and the blue quilt is looking divine as is the Quilt of Valor!
Thanks!
You have been so busy. Your blue quilt is wonderful.
Those blue blocks are beautiful! I kind of hope they don’t get sashed and they are just joined up next to each other. It’s like a lovely undulating mosaic … reminds me of Gaudi.
Wow you’ve definitely been busy…that blue quilt is looking amazing.
Wow, you have been busy! Your projects look like lots of fun!
