August seemed like a very slow reading month. I don’t feel like I spent a lot of time reading at all.
Romance
Foodie Books
All the Rest
That’s 13 books for the month.
- 2 audiobooks
- Set in the U.S., England, France, the Moon, and imaginary places
- 1 nonfiction
Reading All Around the World challenge from Howling Frog Books
- Read a nonfiction book about the country – or
- Read fiction written by a native of the country or someone living for a long time in the country.
Nothing new this month.
I read Natalie Tan’s Book of Luck and Fortune as an ARC. I enjoyed it and was really hoping recipes were included as it made me so hungry whenever I read it.
I loved The Relentless Moon. The Dianne Freeman book looks fun. Check out my monthly wrap-up
So many great books on your list. I really want to read the Vanessa Yu book!
Was Dying of Whiteness any good?
Dying of Whiteness was good. It looks at 3 different issues – health care, gun control, and education – as public health issues affecting white people. Lots of stats which bogged down the audiobook a bit but I’d recommend it.
Oh that’s good to know. I would especially be interested in the gun control aspect but the whole thing sounds helpful.
