Misunderstandings
If the central conflict of the book could be resolved if the main characters took 5 minutes to sit down and tell each other what is going on, I’m not reading the book with the exception of Harry Potter. Yes, I’m judging you Harry and Dumbledore!
Love Triangles
Overdone and boring. No woman is that spectacular that multiple men are falling at her feet. Make a decision and move on with your lives. I’m waiting for a book where both guys dump the woman for being a pain in the butt and go find decent girlfriends or go out with each other.

You loved him and decided to spend your life with him from the moment you met? Yeah, that’s going to end well.
