Some of the books I’ve read this year definitely need more love. I was looking on Goodreads and about 15 of the books I read this year have less than 100 ratings. Here are some books that you should know about.
I think this topic is excellent for a book blog. I hope others pick up on this topic and I might even request it when my book blogging friends ask for suggestions. I’ve noticed some of my favorite books have few ratings and that always makes me a bit sad.
The Samuelsson book is on many journalists’ lists of best books, both in the print and online press. So maybe it will become more popular on Goodreads. My culinary book club read his memoir a few years ago, so I know he’s a good author, though I haven’t read this one. I prefer the smaller-scale interactions with other bloggers to the atmosphere of Goodreads, so I don’t post there any more.
have a great Christmas… mae at maefood.blogspot.com
I haven’t read any of the books on your list, but I have been seeing The Rise mentioned in the library world a fair amount, and the Marshmallow Cafe here and there in the blogosphere (but none of the libraries in my system had it). I hadn’t heard of Let Them Eat Pancakes, but I like the sound of that one, too!
Great choices! I am hoping to read Let them Eat Pancakes soon!

Great idea for a post! It’s always great to boost books you think have flown under people’s radar!
Christmas at Marshmellow Cafe looks cute.

Let Them Eat Pancakes was such a fun and delightful read! I agree that that one deserves more attention, I loved it. The Rise sounds excellent too.
