top ten tuesday

The theme for this year’s Wyrd and Wonder was announced. It is a celebration of fantasy books that takes place in May. This year it will have a nautical theme. I’ve read a few books that fit that but nothing recently. So I decided to do some research and get a head start on my reading so I have lots to talk about. Here’s a few of the books that I’ve found that are available at my library or on Kindle Unlimited.

Selkies are going missing London in this fantasy mystery book. I’ve already started reading this one.

River Mumma is a Jamaican water deity who appears to a woman in Toronto and gives her a quest.

I actually already own this book but haven’t read it. This is about pirates training sea monsters. I’m not actually sure if this is fantasy or if it is more science fiction. I’ll have to read it to find out.

This is a graphic novel about a girl who was saved from drowning by possibly a mermaid?

A woman goes to work at a lighthouse on a coast with lots of sea monsters. There’s a sea monster hunter and romance and scandal.

This author has 2 standalone books set in water worlds. The first is about a girl getting into a race meant for the elites of society and having to fight against them. The second is about a girl forced to work as a monster hunter. I’m not sure which one I want to read.
