I should be in Florida right now. I went to a conference there last year and I thawed. I didn’t realize how cold I had been until I spent 5 days in Florida in January. But, because of various construction projects around here I don’t have much in the way of disposable income. Today I got a booklet in the mail about a convention in Minneapolis. Huh, Florida vs. Minneapolis. Not usually a hard choice in vacation destinations but the Minneapolis conference is in the summer so freezing to death is less likely. Then I thought of those three little words that made Minneapolis suddenly very appealing – Mall of America.
I like malls. I don’t tend to buy anything when I go but I like to walk around. The biggest mall in the U.S. should give me plenty of walking around time. Besides, I’ve never been there so it counts as a new experience and self-improvement, right? I’ll have to schedule one day entirely for that. Yeah, yeah, I know I should be at every lecture in order to improve myself and to get enough continuing education hours to keep my license. But, your brain hurts after a while and you need a break. I took one day to do all the Disney parks last year.
I just looked on the website and the 2006 convention is in Hawaii. I’m going to that one for sure!!!
