I came across another of the evolution of sex and beauty shows on the Discovery channel last night. There seems to be a lot of those and I think the theory is absolute BS.

They go on and on about how women like competitive men because they are good providers for their kids. Men like pretty women because they are healthy so they can have more kids. This one even went so far as to say that women like handsome men because they will breed handsome sons (daughters don’t count I guess) and therefore the sons will breed more often and guarantee the mother’s genetic survival.

So where does that leave a person like me? My whole life is devoted to not spreading my genes around and I still like attractive men. Pretty much destroys the whole theory. They say on the show that this subconcious desire to spread your genes controls everything people do. I don’t think so.
