The husband has lost 50 pounds since September. Yeah for him but I want to lose weight too. He had such horrific eating habits that any change for the better made a huge difference. He’s also taking hydroxycut. I hate the idea of those pills but he was having such good results that I decided to try some.
I took another brand for a month. I lost five pounds. But I lost those five pounds during the week that I was being very diligent about what I ate. So, at the end of the month I stopped taking those pills. I had 4 days of the worst caffeine-withdrawal headaches ever. The most caffeine I usually drink is in a glass of iced tea so those pills were a huge increase. I’m better now. It just reaffirmed for me that that is not the right way for me.
I talked to a friend of mine yesterday. She said that she is down to 14.9% body fat. That’s great but she has done it by sticking to an incredibly strict diet, eating foods that she hates, for years now. I’d rather be fat than to loathe my every meal.
Since I went off the pills I’ve lost another pound. I’m going to stick to what has worked in the past. Pre-make my meals so I don’t eat unhealthy packaged meals when I’m starving. It is so simple but hard for me to stick to all the time.
Greek Salad Pizza
1 premade pizza crust
1 bag of prewashed spinach
2 tablespoons olive oil
red pepper
salt
garlic
1 can diced tomatoes
black olives
Feta cheese (I used fat-free)
Mushrooms
Put the olive oil, pepper, salt, and garlic in a skillet. When warm, add spinach. Cover and cook stirring occasionally for 6 minutes. Spinach will wilt. Spread on pizza crust. Top with rest of ingredients and bake as directed for crust.
Hi. I really like your blog. Was wondering if you want to add it to my directory? Thanks Shelly

Good luck with your weight loss issues. I’m looking forward to my 10 year reunion this summer, and while I’d love to go at the same weight I was in HS, that means losing about 50 pounds. That’s not going to happen. I’m going to shoot for 180 (which is 20 pounds heavier than HS, and 25 to 30 pounds lighter than I am now), and get as close as I can. That means I’ve gotta get off my ass every morning and do some exercising (along with my somewhat physical job). I’m going to start having fruit smoothies as many mornings as I can stand them (I love them, but EVERY morning may be more than I can take). And I’m going to try eatting considerably more veggies, and considerably less starches & fats. Oh, and taking my B12 daily should help, too. Anything to fit into a decent sized summer dress (also have 3 weddings to attend this summer) and not look like a whale.
