I went to the FAVA show Artist as Quiltmaker 2012 today in Oberlin. It is mainly an art quilt show but different stores in town have different quilt displays up.
At first glance these are just a nice samplers. Look at the card on the floor of the display case for scale.
This food quilt is thread painted which means that she sewed colored thread over the photo transfers so all the color you see in the pictures is thread.
That sign is blurry but it says that all the dyes in that quilt are made from natural materials.
This one didn’t have a label but I like it.
