The Alpha and Omega series is my favorite part of the larger Patricia Briggs werewolf universe. I really loved this last book that gave insight into a character who was previously only seen as a bad person. It sort of made me salty that Patricia Briggs was going to make me like her. LOL. There are also some Sasquatch hanging around!

I always feel like this book is so cozy until I try to explain it and start talking about murder and sexual assault/trafficking and human supremacy and terrorism. But there are grumpy ponies and wolf puppies and finding safety in found families. I love the whole series but I think the first book where Meg is figuring out everything in the world when she escapes captivity is my favorite.

This is another great series. It is about an innkeeper on Earth who runs an inn for interstellar travelers. In this book the inn is forced to host a live spouse search for a galactic ruler. It is a very high stakes version of the Bachelor.

This book is number 15 of the series and actually pulls together all the previous stories. I liked it because it features most of the characters that you’ve met in the books that came before into one story and wrapped up the major story line.

I love an origin story. This is the beginning of this series about the center of the magical government in the midwest U.S. I love the stories set in this town. They are a series of slow burn romances that take place over three books each. They are so much fun.

I like books about women defying expectations. This is a historical fantasy series about the Napoleonic War being fought with magic. Elinor joins the war effort to use her talent for fire instead of marrying like she is supposed to.

In book 21 of this spy series the main character retired from his spy career. So what was this twenty-second book going to be about?

I loved the way this book reinvented the series as the retired spy deals with not being in the middle of the action anymore. He’s trying to settle into his life as an art restorer (which has been his cover job for his whole spy career). Eventually he gets pulled into an art mystery which is lower stakes than previous books but still good thriller material.

This one just ripped my heart out. This series as been going along for a while. This book just took all the characters, shook them up, unexpectedly killed off some, and did it all from the perspective of a previously fairly minor character. Loved it.
