I’m exactly sure how I ended up having a huge reading month. I did go on a weekend trip at the beginning of the month that gave me some uninterrupted reading time but it kept going after that.

I obviously went down an urban fantasy/paranormal rabbit hole this month.
My South of the Equator self-challenge got a boost this month. I had wanted to find genre fiction from Southern Hemisphere countries. May I present Witchy Fiction! This is a website for authors of witch stories based in New Zealand. I’d actually read a book from an author in this group before but I read a few more that were on Kindle Unlimited. I also read a South African romance that was really good.

I read a total of 26 books. There were:
- 2 audiobooks
- 1 nonfiction
- Books set in the U.S., New Zealand, South Africa, South Korea, and England
- Cis-female and male authors along with trans and non-binary authors
- White, Black, and Korean authors
Oh awesome on that website for new zealand witchy reads. I’ll need to browse it for my sff countries project.
I hope you find some that you like!
What a fantastic reading month! I took a short trip, but somehow didn’t get much reading done. I feel like my reading has fallen off in the last week or so.
