Linking up with Joy.

I chose to do a rowing workout even though I was a bit wary because it had built in rest periods. No workout ever had those.

We started today with a half mile run because the trainer had to talk with someone from a previous class and he wanted us out of the way.
Then we did a lot of strength work. One new move we did was step ups with a bar. We had to step on a 24 inch box. I almost couldn’t get on it by myself, let alone with weights. I ended up just holding the bar with no weights. I could do it with my left leg but not my right. I need to work on that. I don’t think it is a strength issue has much as coordination.

I can’t go to class for the rest of the week so I’m going to have to make up stuff here to do.
Wow, I’m impressed. Well done! I really would like to join a gym one day too, just to get the other benefits.
Wow. I’m tired and sore for you. And I thought my trainer was trying to kill me — yours would definitely finish me off.
Wow! I have workout/gym envy.
My everything is sore just reading this. Very impressed.
I’m not disciplined enough (yet!) to be able to do anything on my own other than run! I do like to go to the Hot Yoga classes which are fantastic and super-tough for me since the room is set at about 110 degrees. We have a couple of Crossfit enthusiasts who take the class as well, it’s a great workout and the stretching is amazing.
Have fun in your workouts!!
Sounds like you have a lot of experience, now for making up stuff! I don’t do it very often, but when I do make up my own workouts, I usually learn something about the way my body likes to move. Good luck!
