I’m pretty good at purging my Goodreads TBR lists of books that I haven’t gotten to in a reasonable amount of time. In fact, writing this post made me get rid of a lot of books on the lists. Here are some of the books that have survived the cut several times.
The Time It Snowed in Puerto Rico by Sarah McCoy
I’ve liked the author’s other books. I’d probably like this one too. What am I waiting for?
The Greenlanders by Jane Smiley
I like her other books. I’ve never read a book set in Greenland. Need to read this one.
Empress of the Night: A Novel of Catherine the Great by Eva Stachniak
I loved the first book in this series. I was very impatient for this one to come out but I haven’t gotten to it yet.
A Stranger in Olondria by Sofia Samatar
Everyone loves this book. They rave about it.
Behind the Gates of Gomorrah: A Year with the Criminally Insane by Stephen Seager
This one just sounds interesting. Maybe this would be good on audio for me.
The True History of Chocolate by Sophie D. Coe
History. Chocolate. It is perfect for me.
The United States of Arugula: How We Became a Gourmet Nation by David Kamp
This is the oldest book on my Foodies Read TBR list.
After Alice by Gregory Maguire
Gregory Maguire’s take on Alice in Wonderland? Totally a book for me.
7 Things To Do Before You Die in Talgarth by Jasper Fforde
The first book in this series is one of my all time favorites – Shades of Grey. There is a cliffhanger ending. He hasn’t written the sequels. He’s killing me.
I’m signing up for another swap so maybe I’ll put a few of these on my swap list.
A Stranger in Olondria is one of mine… I own it and have heard good things… Now to READ it. lol
I definitely want to try After Alice! Happy reading.
