I only have one finish this week.

Dick Francis’s Bloodline by Felix Francis

Mark Shillingford is a race announcer at many tracks in England. His twin sister Claire is a top jockey. When Mark notices that Claire loses a race on purpose he confronts her. They argue and she storms off. An hour and a half later she is dead. The police think it is a suicide but Mark isn’t so sure.

I’ve always enjoyed these books. They are mysteries where it makes sense for amateurs to be looking into crimes. Felix Francis is doing a good job taking over where his late father left off.

I don’t think that the overall mystery holds together very well in this one if you think about it too hard but it was an enjoyable read.
