Visit Sunny Chernobyl: And Other Adventures in the World’s Most Polluted Places by Andrew Blackwell
Andrew Blackwell had spent some time in very polluted areas of India and found it strangely beautiful. He also found it odd that that area wasn’t ever mentioned in guidebooks. He set out to visit some highly polluted areas to see what they were like.
He was quite disappointed to find out that Chernobyl wasn’t a nuclear wasteland. People live and work there. He also visited the Pacific garbage patch, oil sands in Canada, India, and industrial recycling areas of China.
The book is funny and looks at all sides of the issue of pollution and cleanup.
This looks like such an interesting read I enjoyed ‘behind the beautiful forevers’ I’ll have to check this one out.
Merry Christmas!

I heard him interviewed on the radio and it sounded like a good book. Glad you’re enjoying it!
Sounds like a fascinating book! How sad that our beautiful earth has to be so polluted. But how nice that the author is able to look beyond that.
This looks facsinating! Will definitely being giving this one a read!
