Jack Tagger used to be an investigative reporter. Now he writes obituaries for a South Florida newspaper. When the front man of the washed up band The Slut Puppies dies, Jack decides that everything is not as it seems. Maybe finding out what happened will be his way of getting back into the big time.
I like Hiaasen. His characters are crazy and funny.

After the Green Rebellion, Amish people were confined to a preservation. That suits them fine. When Lydia’s father has a stroke and is taken to an Englisher hospital for treatment, she decides that it is time for her to see the outside world. Quickly Lydia finds out that she has special powers that the Englishers are willing to fight to possess.
This book actually manages to combine an Amish story and a YA dystopian novel. It was pretty interesting.
Georgiana Darcy’s Diary: Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice Continued by Anna Elliott
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Georgiana Darcy is Mr. Darcy’s younger sister. A year after her brother’s marriage to Elizabeth Bennet, her aunt decides that it is time for Georgiana to marry. However, she does not care for anyone that her aunt deems suitable. She has been in love with just one man for her whole life but she is too shy to tell him.
This is the start of a trilogy. I’m reading the second book now.
This was free on Amazon the other day.
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
The Goodnights have been art dealers for centuries but no one’s heart is in it anymore. The gallery is dying and there is a fortune in forged artwork locked in the basement just waiting to get everyone arrested. Since most of her family are not accustomed to dealing in reality it is up to Tilda to try to find a way out of this.
This isn’t my favorite of this author’s books. It took me quite a while to get into the story.
Basket Case looks good to me.
ENJOY your week and your book.

Check out my It’s Monday!
Hmm, Grounded sounds unusual to say the least–glad to hear it was a decent read for you. Jennifer Crusie is a hit or miss for me; there are a few older ones I laughed out loud reading, not so much more recently. Enjoy your reading!
Thanks for these reviews! Hope you have a great reading week.
