I am deeply annoyed by this audiobook being called How to Date Your Dragon and then having one of the plot points being that the protagonist doesn’t know what type of shapeshifter the guy is. The husband and I are listening to Cold as Hell.

I finished How to Date Your Dragon and moved on to the next book in the series Love and Other Wild Things. Monstrous Heart is progressing. It is very slow going in the beginning. If I wasn’t determined to read it for Wyrd & Wonder I would have probably wandered off from it.

It was an all audiobook day.

Roadtrip! Time for lots of audiobooks.

I finished up one book, listened to the novella Even Tree Nymphs Get the Blues, and started the first few minutes of Selkies Are a Girl’s Best Friend.

Nothing. Nothing at all. I know…..

Road trip back so I finished the audiobook and I managed to read a bit more of Monstrous Heart. I’m struggling with that book but pushing through.

There is some veterinarian slander in the selkie book that had me swearing at it. They are refurbishing a vet clinic into a new human health clinic. They keep talking about having to clean it because it smells like animals. My clinic does not smell. People talk all time about how nice it smells. There is also a comment about how one of the exam rooms was for farm animals. No, that doesn’t happen. There may be stall space with a separate entrance in a building but you don’t bring your goat or cow through the waiting room with the dogs.
Nice looking assortment of books. I’ve read some by Molly Harper, but it looks like I have a lot more to go if I want to be a “completist.” I do enjoy that Kelley Armstrong series. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
