My Happy Days in Hollywood: A Memoir by Garry Marshall
Garry Marshall has written, produced, and acted in some of the biggest hits on TV and the movies. This is the story of how he moved from aspiring sports journalist to Hollywood icon. It was an interesting read.
City of Bones and City of Ashes by Cassandra Clare
Clary is sixteen and chafing under the demands of her super-protective mother. One night she goes out with her best friend Simon and ignores her mother’s phone calls. When she gets the messages she realizes that her mother has been attacked and kidnapped. Suddenly life as she knows it falls apart when she finds out that her mother was part of a society of demonhunters and that she had run away from them to shield Clary from the supernatural elements of life. Now Clary has to learn about the life that has been hidden from her in order to try to get her mother back.
These are the first two books of the Mortal Instruments series.
I don’t normally post about what I’m going to read since I don’t usually know but I just went to the library this afternoon and here’s what I got:
I have to start reading the Mortal Instruments series, I’m curious now, it’s almost everywhere 😉 But great post 😀
xoxo, Mariam
The Mortal Instruments series is everywhere! I really need to start those. I bet that Kevin Smith book is hilarious. Hope you enjoy your reads this week!
What I’m reading
you’re the second to read the City of books this week. Maybe I better get them out of storage.
The Gary Marshall memoir sounds interesting. My favorite read last week was Emily the Strange: Dark Times by Rob Reger. Please come see what else I’m reading.
I liked City of Bones. I really think I should have read the other books in the series but now too much time has passed, I think.
