You guys are totally not going to believe this. I was such a slacker this month. I even went on vacation and DIDN’T READ A SINGLE THING. I know. I was shocked too.
The books I read were:
- I finally finished the audiobook of The Starless Sea!
- Set in England, Argentina, and the U.S.
- Troubled Waters was a reread
What was my favorite?
I’m going to be doing #Blackathon in February. I already have a bunch of books coming from the library so that should get my reading mojo back. Â
I’m still trying to figure out if I want to do any other reading challenges. I could do the Year of Reading Asian challenge again. I also found a challenge for reading more Latinx authors which is something I’d like to do. I don’t know if I’m going to sign up for anything formally though.
From My Shelf
I’m adding a section to encourage me to read books that I’ve had sitting around for a long time.
Yeah, nothing this month.Â
Reading All Around the World challenge from Howling Frog Books
- Read a nonfiction book about the country – or
- Read fiction written by a native of the country or someone living for a long time in the country.
Added Argentina this month!
How did you survive a vacation without books? I try not to make reading into a chore that I ‘have” to do…takes all the fun out of it. Red White and Royal Blue sounds interesting
A vacation without books … gasp!! Hopefully that just means you were having too much fun to read. 🙂
Red, White, and Royal Blue is still high on my TBR–I’m happy you enjoyed it. I made myself reading promises this year and only one “official” challenge–my Goodreads one. I promised myself to read Brigid Kemmerer’s books and started last night with Letters to the Lost.
I’m excited to read Red, White, and Royal Blue! So glad you love it too 🙂 The Starless Sea is also in my TBR.
Oh, I love Red, White, and Royal Blue! I’m definitely trying to focus on more books that I already own this year.

I didn’t read as much as I’d like to this month either, but that’s okay. I have a Read Around the World/Read Around the US Challenge, but my criteria is a little different, and I’m just doing it for me. I got New Jersey this month and contemporary Russia.
Love your Read Every Country challenge! So cool! I’ve got Red White and Royal Blue at home, need to read it.
