Happy New Year everyone! Today is the first day of the Wheel of the Year group on Flickr. The idea is to take the same 12 pictures on the first of each month in 2006.
I got a new camera today. My old one was state of the art 5 years ago. But state of the art then equals not capable of making actual printed-out pictures today. It is good for web-based pictures but not for printing. So, I got mad because none of my pictures from the major events in my life in the past year are capable of being printed. I am now the proud owner of a new 6 megapixel, 12x optical zoom camera.
So without further ado here are the first pictures taken with my new camera!
Here I am. Hopefully there will be less of me as the year goes on. You can see the new camera too. The resolution is so good that I had to clean the mirror because it was focusing on the streaks.
Spirit at age 31. This picture won’t be exactly the same each month because he is adverse to posing. His blanket is protecting him more from the mud than the cold. We are in the middle of a major thaw. Mud everywhere!
These are the books I have out of the library.
This is my garden area. Nothing goes on here in January.
I plan on planting this container with bulbs and annuals. I planned to have it started by now. Since that didn’t happen here’s a picture of the empty container in the garage.
I wanted a picture to show what my pasture looks like each month. But it was more interesting with a horse in it. Again this won’t be the same shot every month because Prize isn’t into posing either.
This is the room we are finishing to be a kid’s bedroom.
This is a tree in my pasture.
This is the view from my second story windows.
This is the quilt in progress on my sewing table. It is a bright split rail for a wedding present.
A local bike path.
A creek by the bike path
What a fantastic place you live in. My dream is to have views like yours from my windows. They would be like that, only there are houses in the way.
Glad to see Spirit is no better than Clyde at keeping his lovely purple rug clean!
Happy New Year

Hey, you actually took all of your pictures! I like your ideas, I was able to take some more shots but with the kids around all day, we’ve been competing for the computer! I also took a garden shot, right now it looks so barren. The monthly pictures will be interesting.
