I had a quiet reading month. For most of the month I had a hard time settling into any stories. I picked up a few and moved on quickly. I seemed to get back to my normal more towards the end of the month.
I read 13 books this month.
- 3 audiobooks
- 2 nonfiction
- Set in England, Scotland, the U.S., New Zealand, Canada, and the Caribbean
TBR Reduction Challenge
I finished The Galaxy, and the Ground Within! This had been sitting on my shelf for a while. I had set it aside awhile ago because I wasn’t getting into it. It got better though as it got going. I ended up liking it.
South of the Equator
I pushed myself to finish The Dawnhounds even though I wasn’t loving it because I was determined to get at least one book in this category this month. I found this on a list of SFF/Fantasy by New Zealand authors. Then I picked up the Nalini Singh book. Can you believe that I’ve never read anything by her before? I didn’t even know she was from New Zealand until I started researching for this challenge.
It seen like a lot of people are in a reading low.
Have a great August reading month.
It is frustrating when you can’t seem to get into a story. I am never sure if it’s me or the book. I think it is usually me. Have a good August!
I had a really slow reading month but there is a lot going on here so it isn’t a surprise. August may be about the same. Have a great week!
