Lookie! Lookie! I said a few posts ago that I had always been interested in making jewelry so I got some books out of the library. I went to a bead store today. I’ve never really been into beaded stuff but I thought that maybe I could find some cool stuff. I’m also interested in making a mala.
The store was sort of overwhelming because I don’t really know what I’m doing. I’m also always uncomfortable in small stores where it is just me and the person working. I found some beads I liked and I decided to make earrings. I found the ear wires and knew I needed head pins to connect them together but wasn’t sure how to go about doing that. So I asked. That’s a big deal for me. I don’t like talking to people.
The lady explained to me exactly how to do it. I was figuring out where to get the pilers I needed when she said, “You can make them here if you want.” Yippee! They have a little work station that you can use. She made the first one for me and then I made the second. It was easy. I knew I would get hooked if I started doing this. I’m all giddy.
At checkout she asked if I would like to sign up for their frequent buyer card. I figured that I better since I think I’m addicted now.
Oh, they’re so beautiful! I think you’ve found a new calling 😉
Very kewl!
I’ve done a little bit of beading and I can see how it could get addicting… but so far I’ve managed to stick with my current addictions of crochet and stamping. 🙂
Ohh pretty. I have been interested in beading for awhile now but haven’t done anything about it. Maybe I will check it out now that my move is over
Wise choice with the frequent buyers card; you’re hooked! The earrings are charming and I’ll be watching for more jewelry adventures!
