Which new-to-me authors did I love in 2024?
Al Hess
He writes sci-fi set in the American west, such as Utah and Wyoming. His book feature trans characters and also AI characters. Once I read Key Lime Sky I had to keep picking up his work.
T. J. Deschamps
This is urban fantasy that starts with a middle aged woman needing to come out of hiding. She’s supernatural and has been on the run. I like series that feature female protagonists who aren’t young adults.
Jessica Rosenberg
These books combine the urban fantasy story of a woman coming into magic with a bakery setting. The author also promotes other authors really well. I think she is how I found T.J. Deschamps.
Jenny Colgan
This is a series about a woman starting her life over on an island off the coast of England.
A. L. Knorr
I’d had Born of Water on my TBR for a while because I like elemental magic stories. I finally got to this series in 2024.
Jennifer Hart
This continues the theme of middle aged women finding magic.
Now I have new to me authors that I only read one book from in 2024 but I liked.
It looks like you found a lot of good series this year! Here is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thank you.
I haven’t read any of these authors, but I’ve seen The Teller of Small Fortunes on a lot of lists, so I’ll look that one up. Thanks for sharing!
I’ve only read a few of Colgan’s books, but I really liked them all. I need to read more by her. I’m glad you discovered some great new authors last year!
Happy TTT!
