I made my 6th Swoon block. It is the one on the lower right. I’m going to set these with red cornerstones and white sashing.

My next thing on my to-do list is to get this quilt bound because it is part of a Quilts of Valor presentation this weekend. The first thing I have to do is to get Riley to give it up.

I have Quilts of Valor pins available. They are actually silver. They are available for a $5 donation if anyone is interested.

On February 1 Quilts of Valor is hosting a National Sew Day. I’m helping out with the social media part. If anyone is sewing that day and you use Instagram or Twitter post with the hashtag #quiltsofvalor. If you’ve ever wanted to make a quilt for Quilts of Valor this is a great day to start. If you sign up you are eligible for drawings throughout the day. The grand prize is a mid arm machine! Details are here.
Hi Heather – wow you are working on some really great projects! The swoon blocks are gorgeous! They look tricky though…are they hard to put together? And the hedgehog army is too cute!
The swoon blocks aren’t hard. They are just a little time consuming.
Loving the red swoon blocks. I am checking out the sew day for QOV thanks for the heads up!
Yes, I was intrigued by the cat, too! Reminds me a bit of Yuri. I like your hexies, but still don’t want to do any.
I have a top done for QOV, so I might sew-in with you on the first and quilt it up. Keep the reminders coming!
I hope you join in the sew day. If you are going to sign up following the directions at http://www.qovf.org/content/qov-national-sew-day-2014.html to be eligible for some big prizes.
Love your swoon blocks! Good luck getting the cat to move 😉
Came for the cat pic, stayed for the hexagons. Oh my goodness, your hedgehog hexies are adorable!
