Saturday was the first National Sew Day for Quilts of Valor. I was in charge of monitoring Twitter and Instagram posts and giving out prizes. It was amazing. So many great tops were made that day and posted all over the place.
That night we had the first QOV meetup and sew day in our area. It was fun so we are going to make a habit of it.
I finished 2 long term QOV UFOs.
The first is the Swoon quilt.
Then I finished the first of the tops made with the anniversary blocks I collected. I wasn’t sure about this one all the way to the end but I really like the way it turned out.
I also loved the throne at our sewing site so I had to pose with it.
My 15 minute a day quilt is coming right along. I have it part of the way together now.
Your quilts are great! One of my goals this year is to make a QOV.
I’m working on my first Quilts of Valor project right now. I started on Saturday and got all my blocks done but still need to sew them together!
All of the quilts are beautiful but that swoon quilt is wonderful! I love it. The second one interests me since the vertical and horizontal sashing are different. I really like that effect. I may have to try it. Thank you for sharing your ideas!
Beautiful QOVs! I really like the second one as well, and I can totally relate to the “undecided until it’s done” feeling. I have that a lot! Sounds like a great Saturday. 🙂
