I pulled out my anchor quilt to work on the quilting again. I was just doing wavy horizontal lines to suggest waves. I got the body of the quilt finished and now just have to work on the border.
Piecing oversized blocks totally defeats me. I can’t get seams to match for anything. I covered the horrible seam intersections with applique for this quilt. I still don’t know how I feel about it.
I’m still moving right along on my hexy quilt. It needs seven flowers from each of ten fabrics. That text print is the first flower from fabric number 8!

The stars look wonderful and I like the anchor and waves. Beautiful flowers!!!
I LOVE how the applique stars look on your oversized blocks! It looks like they are meant to go there and not that you were trying to cover over anything….your flowers are going to make a lovely quilt!
So impressed with your anchor quilt!
Beautiful blocks and beautiful flowers. That is going to make a lovely quilt.
Those hexagons are super. Love the colors together. I may have to use some of my button fabric in a hexagon -they look so good. The anchor quilt is so unusual, and I love it. I like the stars on your star corners that didn’t match. I think that was a creative solution.
the anchor quilt is really unusual. I love hexies, and am doing something new hexie today!

Your anchor quilt is lovely, and I think the wave quilting is going to look great on it! I have an over sized star quilt planned for later this year…good to know the seams are tricky to match up! I think your star applique looks fine, it adds another point of interest to the quilt.
