I think this is supposed to be recent books that I’ve added to my collection but I’ve talked about the books that I received for Christmas. I don’t buy a lot of other books. So I decided to list the last 10 books that I’ve added to my hold list at the library.
This is a memoir about grief. That isn’t the sort of thing that I would normally read but:
- It’s Australian
- It is about the death of the author’s husband, Tony Horowitz. He was also an author and I was in the middle of reading his entire backlist when he died. It was very unexpected. I was sad about it even though I only knew him because I really liked his books.
This is nonfiction about Gilmore Girls. I do like that show. The husband made me watch it when we first started dating. My city has a Gilmore Girls – themed coffee festival in the early winter. I went this year with a coworker and her husband won the Luke lookalike contest.
I have this one from Audible but the issue is that it has some plot points that I don’t like. I like the series but I haven’t been able to make myself listen to this one all the way through. I thought if I had the book it would go faster.
This book is about two rival male magic users who get cursed. They need to work together to get uncursed and romance ensues.
This is the 23rd book in this series. I feel like I have to keep reading at this point.
The moon gets turned to cheese. I have to read that.
I’ve skipped the last few Nnedi Okorafor books but this one sounds interesting. It is about an author who writes a story that literally starts to change the world.
This might be interesting. It is a book about what it is like to age as a woman from a woman who has been judged for the audacity of getting older in public.
I hope you love them all!
I love that your husband got you into Gilmore Girls and not the other way around. My son is constantly rolling his eyes at his wife’s obsession with the show! LOL. I hope you enjoy all these.
Happy TTT (on a Wednesday)!

I had no idea that Brooke Shields has a book. I may need to check that out. I also want to read the book about The Gilmore Girls. Look at you make me want to read nonfiction. Happy reading!
I like being a bad (or good) influence. Lol
I hope you enjoy reading all of these when you get the chance.

Kim Harrison! I love her!
Several of these are on on my wish list and I hope to read them someday. I am sad to read your comments about Demon Bluff. I haven’t gotten to that one yet so haven’t read it. Sorcery and Small Magics looks interesting! I’ll read just about anything John Scalzi writes. I haven’t actually read much by him–yet–but hope to get to most, if not all, of his books someday. Nnedi Okorafor’s book really interests me as well. I hope you enjoy all of these when you read them!
Most of these are new to me except the John Scalzi book. I got to hear him read a chapter of this new one when he came to my town last year. I’m so excited to read it, although I’ll probably wait till it is in audio as I love listening to Wil Wheaton read his books!

I do love his audiobooks. That’s a good point. I may have to change my plan
Memorial Days sounds like a good read.
