I wouldn’t have thought that an Irish pub would be a good place for a vegetarian to try to eat but RÃRá in the Mandalay Bay proved me wrong.
I started with the Baked Goat Cheese.
This is served with red onion jam, pepper relish, and almond and walnut honey pesto. The red onion jam was my favorite. I’ve never had anything like that. It was slightly sweet and complimented the goat cheese perfectly.
I followed that with the Uniquely Veggie burger.
It is a housemade white bean patty with goat cheese, sun dried tomato pesto, cucumbers, and carmelized onions. The texture of the patty was too soft fo rmy liking. It felt like a paste instead of a cooked patty.
There were a few other vegetarian options also. There was a macaroni and cheese and a hummus wrap.
That actually looks quite delicious, but texture is such a huge factor when trying new foods. I’m impressed that the pub had such a decent selection of vegetarian foods and feel it is a great sign of things to come. Better luck next time!
