I was watching a program this morning called “20 Years Old In the Middle East” on Link TV. They interviewed the mother of one of the 20 year olds. She was upset because her daughter didn’t wear a veil. She said she was worried about people’s perception of her daughter. She said that if she went out while wearing a veil then people would:

    “treat her as a human being, not as a woman.”

How sad.
