From Z:
“I made Daddy a picture. It is of a man climbing a mountain and he’s burping out blood. I don’t like that kind of thing but boys do. So if you make a picture for a boy it has to have blood burping out.”
After seeing the Secretariat movie:
Z. “Were you or Daddy born when Secretariat was alive?”
Me “Your dad was born the same year as Secretariat.”
Z. “There is NO WAY that anyone alive now could have ever lived that long!”
I passed that one on immediately to her father. He was not as amused as I was. Go figure.
