I was once approved to adopt a child.

I am attempting to be approved to adopt a dog.

I don’t think I’m going to be approved for the dog.

The reason is going to be that I don’t give my pets veterinary care.  (Don’t even try to wrap your brain around that because you will hurt yourself.)

I have a final phone interview scheduled for 5 minutes ago to try to explain yet again that I am a veterinarian.  My pets see their veterinarian every single day.  If my new dog would like to she could go to the veterinary office 4 days a week.

I don’t think it is going to work.  This concept seems way too hard for the interviewer to grasp.
