I missed all the excitement here. I was in Iowa when huge storms ripped through here knocking out power all over. The SO says that my house sounded like it was going to rip off the foundations so he went to his house which is more sheltered. I got my power back on today before I got home so I stopped for some dinner groceries. It was hard to find a store with power to buy perishable stuff. The lady in line ahead of me said that it was obvious that I had power since I was the only one buying ice cream.
All the trees around here are in pieces. The corn field next door is a wreck. I’m glad I wasn’t here. Mild wind storms sound like tornadoes in this house. I can’t imagine what 60 – 70 mph winds would be like here.
