As you are reading this I’m out on my celebratory 50th birthday weekend. But before you wish me Happy Birthday in the comments, you need to realize that I am currently 52.5 years old.
My childhood best friend and I are 2 weeks apart in age. We live a few states apart now. Every few years we get together for a weekend. We’ve been due for a visit. She wanted to do something epic for our 50th but we didn’t get it planned. (We also have never finished a gift we were making for our older friend’s 17th birthday.) We kept saying we were going to do it. Finally a month or so ago I just booked a place about halfway between us and said we were doing this. Nothing epic. Just a place at a ski resort that is open for the summer with some pools and hot tubs and restaurants. Don’t bother robbing my house because the watch dog and husband are still at home.
I finally was able to pick up my new quilting machine. I have to get some longer extension cords to be able to test it out. But I got it set up and it seems to work. Fingers crossed.
We finished a puzzle.
The header image is a rock pile I passed while on a walk this week. People are going wild now that the sun is out around here.
I didn’t post much last week. But Wyrd & Wonder starts next week. It is a month all about fantasy with daily prompts. The prompts are hard for me this year. The theme is nautical I don’t have a lot of knowledge of that but I’ve been reading some books in preparation.

That puzzle is too cute! My bestie lives a couple states away. We did girls’ weekends a few years in a row, but haven’t done it again in years. I probably should just book it like you did 😉
