I received my package this week for The Broke and the Bookish Secret Santa exchange. My gift came from Ariel at The Bibliophile’s Bookshelf.
I feel like I’m not making any progress in reading this week. In truth I’m just reading a big book and I went back to work after being off for 2.5 weeks. So I’m reading but I’m not finishing anything.
Right now I’m about 1/4 of the way through The Lady Brewer of London.
I’m listening to this audiobook. It is interesting but slow going. I’m not sure that I’m going to have time to finish it before it has to go back to the library.
I posted one video on YouTube this week with a related short. I’m currently working on a cozy video weekend reading vlog.
Great gifts! I collect 3 things, books, purses, and tote bags.
I did a bookish secret Santa exchange once. Once was enough! I don’t think the person even LOOKED at my wish list (which we were all encouraged to create so that we’d be sure to get stuff matching our interests plus it makes it easier for your secret Santa). I didn’t like a single thing that she sent me and some of the stuff was from her own shelves, not something she had purchased. LOL Anyway, I decided I might as well just spend my money on myself. I can laugh about it now but oooooooooo I was mad because I had made sure to buy stuff from my person’s wish list, from the books, to the socks, down to the chocolate. lol
What about you? Do you like the gifts from your secret Santa? Did they do a good job?
My partner did a good job. The book was on my wishlist and I talked about liking travel.
Luckily, it’s easy to renew books and audiobooks at my library. They can also put me on a waiting list. Good luck with the book.

What a great tote you received in the Bookish Secret Santa Exchange! Very cool.
Thank you for sharing The Teller of Small Fortunes. I love the Robot and Monk series.
It was such a good book!
I’m a fan of Karen Brooks so hope you are enjoying The Lady Brewer despite the lack of time you have.
I must bump The Teller of Small Fortunes up my list.
Wishing you a happy reading week
The Lady Brewer is really good!
