It is actually snowing this weekend and is the coldest that it has been so far this winter. So, obviously, we are doing the one thing that you do when it gets really cold.
We opened a hole in the wall of our house.
We had french doors that have never fit correctly. They weren’t even rated for the temperatures that we see here. We finally decided to replace them. When it all came together it was below freezing. We gave the contractor the option of waiting but he was game.
Now we have sliding doors that are actually supposed to be thick enough to keep the heat in. They don’t have gaps around them that need stuffed. They are going to open properly even. I’m not sure I’m going to know how to act.
I’m not the only one. Since the glass goes to the ground, Nemo and the cats won’t even have to peer up to look out and disapprove at the outside world. I expect more barking.
I’m still playing around with making some videos in different styles. YouTube doesn’t appear to be showing them to anyone but I’m having fun. I know they aren’t showing it because who could resist that face on the thumbnail? LOL.
In the last week on the blog I talked about:
I’ve been binging a bunch of historical romances this week.
I love doing puzzles but find an extra piece or missing piece in almost all of them. Your dog is adorable!
Sally Britton is an author I meant to try last year and didn’t, so now she is an author I hope to try this year 😉 Happy New Year!
I’m sorry the timing was poor but congrats on your home improvement.
