I’m all over the place with my reading this week. Here’s some of what I have in progress.
Nnedi Okorafor is one of my auto-buy authors. This novella is set in Ghana and follows a young girl who finds a meteorite. It transforms her. She is able to bring death. I’m not sure where this is going but I trust this author to take us along for the ride.
This is my current audiobook. It is the third in a series about a teenager in a magical version of Chicago. These books are included with my Audible membership. I hadn’t heard of them previously. They are light and fun.
Now for a little light reading! I’m doing a book bingo challenge that asks us to read one of Barack Obama’s favorite books from 2020. This book is actually very interesting if a bit scary and sad. It is just a slow read.
The Book Bingo sounds like fun, but I can’t add random books to my overflowing TBR! I’ve really liked the Nnedi Okorafor books that I’ve read, but I’ve only read a few. Need to catch up!
I’ve heard Remote Control come up on a couple of podcasts…I may have to look into that one!
I am eyeing the Barack Obama book. I have A Promised Land on my shelves, and look forward to it. Have a great week, and here are my WEEKLY UPDATES
What an intriguing variety of books! I’ve read two of that Cestari series as review books. I should check out the rest if I can get them at Audible. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
I hope you have a wonderful week! Thanks for stopping by 🙂

That’s a fascinating book list! I read Anne Applebaum’s articles in The Atlantic: she has great insights into modern governments and the pitfalls of totalitarianism and other forms of anti-democratic leaders.

I’m surprised I haven’t come across her before.
