It’s time to look back and review what I read in 2024. It’s no surprise that most of what I read was fantasy. I do like my magic.
The breakdowns that you can’t see on the chart above is the small red section is general nonfiction with 4 books and self-help with 1. I grouped everything fiction that takes place in current times (and with no magic) as contemporary.
I also figured out how many foodie books I read. That counts books that aren’t just cookbooks. How many books were foodie nonfiction or fiction too? I came up with 27!
I’m pretty satisfied with the genres that I read this year. I’m glad that I upped my science fiction. I did that on purpose because I like it but I feel like it gets ignored in favor of fantasy.
I don’t think that I’m going to be making any big changes in 2025.
Nice chart, I wish I did those in my round-up post but it’s too complicated! I aim to do about the same in 2025 althogh I want to increase my nonfiction reading around disability topics as that’s been lacking in my diverse reading. Happy reading for 2025!
I just used this website https://piechartmaker.co to make the charts. It makes them really quickly.
