This is the start of my next Quilt of Valor. I’m going to make large Carpenter Stars. This one finished at 24 inches.
I wasn’t a big fan of them when they started showing up all over but they grew on me. I’m really liking this one.
The next block I made was for the Quilt Around the World II swap. This person wanted something geometric.
I found this free pattern here.
Here’s all the blocks so far.
I really love the middle blocks in the first and second rows.
After a few weeks off I finally picked up the hand piecing project again. I got one flower finished up so I can link up to One Flower Wednesday.
Nice blocks! I love the colors you chose for the Carpenter’s star block.
Wonderful quilt blocks, and such a funky hexy flower, well done!
Excellent blocks and it is always nice to see a flower!
Is the carpenter star the same thing they are calling the “Swoon”? It is certainly a big block to tackle and yours is lovely. Pretty little hexie flower too!
Your blocks for the middle quilt are so bright– they look great!
