I got a second star block made.
I spent a rainy Tuesday sewing all day long. I made a giant star.
Most of the fabric in this is vintage. It came out of a metal can that was in my grandmother’s attic. Who knows how old it is or what it was supposed to be. I think the yellow flower fabric may have been a curtain project gone wrong.
This is going to be a donation quilt for a PTSD retreat. It is 68 by 72.5 which turns out to be an awkward size to spread out and photograph in my sewing room.
How COOL to find old fabric in a tin!
Hi Heather. Your star blocks are fabulous. Thanks for stopping by my blog. Tried to send you a reply email but did you know you are a no reply blogger?
beautiful work, love the colors in that first star block I am stopping by from the WIP hop 🙂 http://domesticdeficitdisorder.blogspot.com/2012/10/wednesday-wips.html
Your giant star turned out really well. Someone is going to be so grateful for that quilt!
